Picking up the request
1. The supplying library will normally send the item or provide a response within three (3) working days and by the fastest available method.
2. Items will be sent direct to the requesting library.
3. All items lent must be clearly marked with the name of the owning library.
4. Books will be sent by registered mail or courier.
5. Articles will be sent by e-mail or normal mail.
6. When an item cannot be supplied, the reason for not fulfilling the request should be given as clearly and as fully as possible.
7. The IFLA multilingual list of ILL Response Codes should be used for this purpose.
8. This code is a voluntary agreement adopted by the undersigned libraries to govern interlibrary lending among libraries in Lebanon.
